Around 27 metric tonnes of waste were collected from across the Valley as part of a weekly clean-up of the Bagmati River and the Ring Road on Saturday, the organisers claimed.
On the 278th week of the Bagmati Clean-up Mega Campaign, more than 400 people volunteered. The clean-up was conducted at places like Ratopul, Maitidevi, Rudranagar, Manamaiju, Bishnumati, Balkumari and Aloknagar.
The objective of volunteers is to keep Bagmati River clean by removing solid waste materials.
