Cloth trader murdered in Jhapa

A readymade cloth retailer has been murdered in Jhapa.

Police said Khemraj Poudel, 28, of Mangalbare in Kamal Rural Municipality was found dead at Devigunj in Gauriganj near the Indian border. Cattle grazers had informed the police when they saw the body lying on a field on Tuesday morning.

Inspector Tekendra Poudel at Police Office Gaurigunj informed police has arrested another trader Saddam Hussain, 28, of Gaurigunj-6 for his alleged involvement in the murder.

Murdered Poudel has deep injuries to his neck, chest and arms. Other traders informed he was missing since Monday evening after going to Gaurigunj with his wife Dipa.

Police said they are interrogating the arrested and investigating the case. The body has been send to Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for post mortem.
