‘Work in unity’ to develop Nepal

Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Ishwor Pokhrel on Saturday said all three tiers of the government should collaborate and work in unity to propel Nepal’s dream of developing into a prosperous state.
Addressing the gathering at an event held to celebrate the 12th anniversary of Modern Kanya Multiple College here, Pokhrel said the governments formed after the huge political change was not working in unison to ensure prosperity.
“The government is working in full swing to address the issues mentioned in constitution by enacting laws,” he said.
The government plans new education policy to make 70 percent of education vocational and technical, he said and hailed the role of Modern Kanya Multiple College in educating girl students from across the country in Kathmandu.
Senior culture expert Satyamohan Joshi, 98, said all stakeholders should encourage and promote women’s education.
College Management Committee Chairman Professor Dr Ram Prasad Dahal said the college was set up to contribute to women education and empower them.
