According to the police, a bus (Ba 9 Kha 9454) heading to Banepa from Kathmandu hit a motorcycle (Ba 80 Pa 6959) coming from the opposite direction at Bhatedhikur of Suryabinayak Municipality, killing the motorcycle rider and pillion.
Police informed that motorcyclist Sudarshan Timalsina, 35, of Panauti in Kavre district and pillion rider Elisha Adhikari, 18, of Chitwan district, currently residing in Gatthaghar, Madhyapur Thimi, died in the accident.
Metropolitan Police Circle, Bhaktapur spokesperson DSP Rewati Raman Pokharel informed that the bodies of Timalsina and Adhikari have been kept at Bhaktapur Hospital.
Seriously injured Timalsina and Adhikari were pronounced dead by the doctors of Bhaktapur Hospital.
According to Metropolitan Police Circle, Jagati DSP Shishu Sharma, bus driver Sanam Shrestha, 33, of Banepa was held after the deadly accident and further investigations have been initiated.
