Man, 21, dies in Rajbiraj gang attack

A 21-year-old man died after he was assaulted by a gang in Rajbiraj, Saptari, on Wednesday.
Police said a group of about 12 men had attacked Prem Yadav with bamboo sticks and sharp-edged weapons at Tetarigachhi Chowk.
Yadav succumbed to the injuries at Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar that same day.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhawesh Rimal said a manhunt has been launched for the suspects.
Meanwhile, friends and relatives of Yadav rallied with his body in Rajbiraj on Thursday evening, demanding that police arrest his murderers. Former Irrigation Minister Umesh Kumar Yadav and provincial assembly lawmaker Manish Kumar Suman also issued separate statements to condemn the incident. (PR)
