Best players to get bikes

Queens Events Management Pvt Ltd on Saturday signed agreement with VG Automobiles, the authorised distributors of Suzuki motors, to provide motorcycles to best players of the Pokhara Premier League (PPL).
The city-based franchise Twenty20 tournament is beginning from October 26 to November 6 in Nepal’s famous tourist destination Pokhara. According to the agreement, VG Automobiles will provide Suzuki 155 CC Gixxer bike to the man-of-the-series, best bowler and best batsman. This will be the first time any domestic cricket tournament is offering three motorcycles to the best players.
Queen’s Managing Director Chhumbi Lama and VG Automobiles Marketing Manager Navaraj Koirala signed the agreement during a programme on Saturday. Lama thanked VG adding: “It is a matter of pride for us to reward the best performer with three motorcycles in PPL. We would like to thank VG Automobiles for joining hands with us.”
The six-team PPL is among the newly launched Twenty20 tournament of the country after Everest Premier League and Dhangadhi Premier League. Chitwan Rhinos, Biratnagar Titans, Pokhara Paltan, Kathmandu Royals, Dhangadhi Blues and Butwal Blasters are the six teams in the tournament. Queen’s has already unveiled the marquee players and held auction of the cricketers.
Each team will include two foreign cricketers in PPL which has been approved by the International Cricket Council. National team skipper Paras Khadka (Rhinos), leg spinning sensation Sandeep Lamichhane (Titans), Sharad Vesawkar (Paltan), Gyanendra Malla (Royals), Dipendra Singh Airee (Blues) and Sompal Kami (Blasters) are the six marquee players.
Anil Sah, Karan KC and Aarif Sheikh, who will play for Khadka’s Rhinos in the EPL, are among the seven cricketers to hit the maximum bid price in the auction. Rohit Kumar Paudel (Paltan), Sagar Pun (Blasters), Basanta Regmi (Royals) and Binod Bhandari (Paltan) are other big earners in the League. They were bought for Rs 250,000 apiece.
