Israeli film fest in Thamel
The 12th edition of the Israeli Film Festival Kathmanduwill be held at QFX Chhaya Center in Thamel starting November 2.
The 12th edition of the Israeli Film Festival Kathmandu will be held at QFX Chhaya Center in Thamel starting November 2.
The three-day fest will see the screening of two films every day, starting at 3 pm and 6 pm.
The fest will see a total of six films, which include both fiction and documentary—Personal Affairs (Maha Haj); Footnote (Joseph Cedar); Wedding Doll (Nitzan Gilady); The Red Leaves (Bazi Gete); Saving Neta (Nir Bergman); and The Wonderful Kingdom of Papa Alaev (Tal Barda and Noam Pinchas).
“These films tell the stories of Israeli families, Jewish traditions, struggles and successes… and will expose the viewers to a fascinating facet of the Israeli culture,” the organisers said in a release. “Filled with human emotions, these movies portray day to day life of Israeli people. The Festival is an opportunity for the film lovers to enjoy the Israeli cinema and understand and feel the colourful culture of Israel and Jewish tradition.”
Entry to screenings is free for all.
