PM Oli discharged from hospital

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been discharged from the hospital on Friday, five days after he was admitted to the hospital. He was discharged from the hospital at 7:35 pm today.
He was admitted to Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre (MCVT) at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, early Monday morning after he complained of chest pain and breathing difficulty. He was admitted to coronary care unit of the hospital at 4:30 am on Monday.
“Prime Minister Oli has been discharged from the hospital on Friday evening after fully recovering his health condition,” Executive Director at MCVT Dr Uttam Krishna Shrestha, adding, “His medical test reports are normal.”
According to the doctors involved in his treatment, PM Oli will resume the office from Sunday or Monday.
A team of doctors led by senior cardiologist Dr Arun Shayami treated him for lower respiratory tract infection and low blood count and sugar level.
He was attended by Dr Divya Singh Shah and chest physician Dr Santa kumar Das.
Prime Minister Oli, 76, had undergone transplant surgery of both kidneys in India in 2007. Since then, he has remained under strict medical observation that entails visiting Thailand regularly for medical check-up.
More recently, the prime minister had undergone a prostate surgery in India in 2014.
