UN Deputy Secretary General Amina J. Mohammed arrived in Kathmandu on Friday to take part in the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) World Assembly.
During her stay, Amina will take part in some high-level discussions with various officials of the government.
As a part of her meeting, the UN Deputy Secretary General held a meeting with Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa today.
According to Nepal Army Directorate of Public Relations and Information, matters of bilateral interests and coopration were discussed during the meeting.
Amina, a former Environment Minister of Nigeria, had also worked as special adviser to Secretary Genreal Ban Ki-mon on Post 2015 Development Planning.
The sixth Global Campaign for Education (GCE) World Assembly will be held on 16-18 November, 2018, under the theme “Transforming public education systems for equality, inclusion and justice” in Kathmandu.
