The province committee meeting held on Sunday decided to support the sit-in, and has demanded the government to arrest the culprits involved in the rape and murder of 13-year-old Nirmala. “The government is just staging a drama in the name of investigation. The arrest of an innocent as a rape suspect and the DNA tests are just a ruse,” said Krishna Kumar Chaudhary, province in-charge of the party. After the meeting, around 92 party members reached the sit-in camp and expressed their support.
Nirmala’s father Yagya Raj and mother Durga Devi began their indefinite sit-in protest on November 11, demanding the authorities to arrest the perpetrators and provide justice to Nirmala.
