Seven dead, 42 hurt in separate road accidents

Seven people died and 42 others were injured in separate road accidents in Sarlahi and Dhanusha districts on Saturday and Sunday. A speeding passenger bus overturned at Lalbandi in Sarlahi on Sunday morning, killing three persons and injuring 32 others. The vehicle (Ba 3 Kha 1318), which was reserved by workers of the Sindhupalchok-based Joshi Hydropower Project, crashed as it was heading towards the east.
The deceased have been identified as Babli Urau and Anil Urau of Morang and Shreekanta Chaudhary of Sunsari. Five critically injured were taken to Kathmandu and Biratnagar while others are receiving treatment in various health institutions in Lalbandi.
Similarly, Chiranjibi Pokharel of Bagmati Municipality and Mina Jargha Magar of Lalbandi were killed in separate road accidents in the district on Sunday. Ten other people sustained injuries in the accidents.
In Dhanusha, a man and his 11-year-old son were killed when a microbus hit a motorcycle at Dhanushadham Municipality on Saturday. Shyam Chaudhary and his son Aman died in the accident.
