The 15th Handicraft Trade Fair and 13th Craft Competition is scheduled to be held on November 17 at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu, with an objective of promoting exports of Nepali handicrafts.
Sales of goats in the Kathmandu Valley are likely to increase by 8 to 10 percent this Dashain, the biggest festival of Hindus in the country. The Valley saw sales of around 50,000 goats during the last festive season, which lasts for 15 days.
Nepal’s handicraft export earnings rose 13 percent in the last fiscal year driven by higher demand for felt products, metal craft, cotton goods, glass products and woollen goods in the international market.
The NADA Auto Show, the country’s biggest and most-awaited automobile exhibition, kicked off on Tuesday at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu. The six-day extravaganza was inaugurated by Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Bir Bahadur Balayar.
