Pumping plant to end Damauli water woes

The drinking water supply project targeted to address the water scarcity in Tanahun district headquarters Damauli and its surrounding areas is going full steam ahead.
The project is among the biggest pumping water projects in the country. It is expected to be completed by January 2015. Almost 35 percent of the work has completed since the project started in August 2013.
The undertaking initiated by Second Small Towns Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project will supply drinking water in places like Damauli, Shanti Tole, Amarapuri, Bhadgaun, Galbubesi and Bagbhanjyang, said Shanti Raman Wagle, the chairperson of the project committee.
Wagle added that of the total cost of the budget is Rs 239.4 million, of which 50 percent was granted by Asian Development Bank.
