Thames retain Twenty20 trophy

BHAKTAPUR: Hosts Thames International College retained the Inter-college Twenty20 Cricket Tournament with a six-wicket win over College of Applied Business (CAB) on Wednesday. Thames bowled CAB out for 105 runs before Nikesh Shrestha stroked unbeaten 42 to complete the run chase for Thames in 17.5 overs. Earlier, Santosh Paudel top-scored for CAB with 27 runs. (PR)

ACME clinch volleyball title

KATHMANDU: Holders ACME Engineering College clinched the second Girija Prasad Koirala Inter-technical College Boys’ Volleyball Tournament here on Wednesday. ACME edged HIST 17-25, 25-19, 25-14. The winners received Rs 20,000 and the runners-up took home 15,000. Likewise, third-placed HIKAST earned RS 10,000. In all nine team had participated in the five-day tournament. (PR)
