Textbooks shortage in Jajarkot

- POST REPORT, Jajarkot

May 13, 2014-Around 45,000 students in Jajarkot are still without textbooks, though the academic session started three weeks ago. The state-run publisher, Janak Shikshya Samagri Kendra, has failed to deliver textbooks to the district. Book sellers said the JSSK’s negligence has caused a lot of trouble to the students. District Education Officer Girman Thapa said although they have already made 50 percent of the textbooks available to around 70,000 students, many students are still without textbooks.
