‘Supplies will not be affected’

- POST REPORT, Kathmandu

May 30, 2014-

Amid speculations of fuel shortage following the arrest of 20 NOC staffers, the oil monopoly said the supply would not be affected. “It will not affect the corporation’s daily routine,” said NOC Spokesperson Mukunda Ghimire. “The supply will continue.” NOC employees had warned of halting fuel supplies against the arrest. The Ministry of Commerce and Supplies has asked the NOC to continue its daily work, and it would soon appoint a new officiating managing director. Meanwhile, a board meeting of NOC on Friday proposed Birendra Goit for the top post. “The meeting has proposed Goit for the post of officiating managing director and the proposal has been tabled at the ministry,” said Ghimire.
