Ncell launches “Mazzako SMS Pack”

KATHMANDU: Ncell has launched the new scheme name “Mazzako SMS Pack” on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup 2014. As per the scheme, customers can subscribe daily, weekly or monthly SMS packs at Rs 3, Rs 18 and Rs 54, respectively, and send as many as 100 SMSs every day to other Ncell numbers throughout the pack period. Customers can subscribe to the service by dialing 17106 and following the instruction. “Mazzako SMS packs will enable our customers to stay connected with each other and share their World Cup excitements at special rates,” said Sanju Koirala, corporate communication director of Ncell. The offer is valid for three months from June 17. (PR)

Nepal-Italy Chamber formed

KATHMANDU: With an aim of strengthening diplomatic and business relations between two countries, the Nepal-Italy Chamber of Commerce (NICC) has been formed under the chairmanship of Hikmat Bahadur Mali. Panchakanya Group Chairman Dhruba Kumar Shrestha has been appointed vice- chairman, while Chaudhari Group Managing Director Nirvana Kumar Chaudhary is second vice-chairman. Naresh Shrestha became general secretary and Bharat Raj Acharya was named treasurer. Ramsharan Thapaliya and Manoj Kumar Shrestha are secretaries. Other members include Sanjay Kumar Agrawal, Binod Sagtani, Rajendra Baral, Raja Aryal, Ronesh Das Shrestha, Sunil Kumar Bansal, Keshav Pandey, Ramsharan Pandey, Rajendra Sherchan and Ishwori Prasad Bhattarai. Colors X-112, X 40+ in market

KATHMANDU: Colors has launched two new handsets, the X-112 and the X 40+. The X 112 is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. The handset comes with in-built 8 GB ROM and 1 GB RAM. It has “WiFi Miracast” function that allows users to directly connect to smart televisions and watch online videos. It boasts an 8MP rear and 3MP front facing cameras, and has been powered by 1,800 mAh battery. The X 40+ has a 5MP rear camera and a front camera with auto focus. The handset is powered by 1.3GHz dual-core processor and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Its other features include 4GB ROM and 512MB RAM, 4-inch WVGA screen, WiFi, GPS, and 1,600 mAh battery. Both the handsets support dual SIM and customers will get a free leather case on purchase of the handsets. The company offers a one-year warranty on handset and a six-month warranty on the battery and charger. (PR)

Poudel wins Hero scheme

KATHMANDU: Nepal General Marketing, authorised distributor of Hero MotoCorp, named Krishna Sharma Poudel from Chitwan as the fourth lucky winner of its New Year Offer. Poudel won a cash prize of Rs 100,000. He had bought a Hero Splendor motorcycle from Marshal Emporium in Chitwan. Marshal Pun, proprietor of the showroom, handed over the cheque to Poudel amid a function, said a company statement. (PR)
