Bill mulled to treat witchcraft crimes
KATHMANDU: The government has proposed increasing jail and fine to a person convicted of witchcraft-related violence, and treating the crime under a separate category. The proposed Witchcraft Bill (crime and punishment) envisions jail up to five years and fine of Rs 50,000 to the person convicted of insulting or mistreating anyone on witchcraft charge.
