Prez, PM extend Eid greetings

President Ram Baran Yadav has extended best wishes to all Nepali Muslim sisters and brothers living in the country and abroad on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr , the great festival of the Islam people. Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the Islam holy month of Ramadan.

Giving a message of best wishes on Tuesday, President Yadav wished peace, prosperity and happiness to the Muslim community. In his message, he has expected that the festival with long fasting would help cleanse the body and foster fraternity. The festivals various communities celebrate in the country are the identity of Nepal, he said, wishing that the Eid al-Fitr inspired us to maintain peace, unity, harmony and fraternity in the community.

Similarly, on the same occasion, Vice-President Paramananda Jha expressed best wishes to all Nepali Muslim people and wished fraternity, tolerance and harmony. Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has also extended best wishes to all Nepali Muslim sisters and brothers living in the country and abroad on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr today. He wished peace, prosperity and happiness to them.
