Victims seek aid for treatment

Khambira Salami of Baluweatar VDC in the district, who was injured in a jeep accident which left three dead and 15 injured on October 21, is worried about managing money for her treatment. Salami, who lost her six-month-old child to the accident, is being treated at a hospital in Lucknow, India.

Likewise, Harilal Salami of Naumule VDC-5, who is receiving treatment in Dailekh District Hospital after being injured in the accident, said he has to manage more than Rs 100,000 for his treatment. “I do not have such a huge amount of money,” he said. Three people were killed the jeep skidded off the road and fell around 100 meters at the Bini river.

Police said the jeep was being operated without route permit. Police claimed vehicle owner has promised to bear all treatment cost of the injured people.
