German aid to Nepal up

Germany has committed 48 million euros, up by 6 million euros from the current commitment, for the next two years in financial and technical aid to Nepal in the sectors of sustainable economic development and trade, health and renewable energy.
According to a statement issued by the German Embassy in Kathmandu, the lion’s share of the committed funds will be allocated to health (25.5 million euros) and sustainable economic development and trade (15 million euros). The German financial support to Nepal since 1961 amounts to around 1.147 billion euros.
