7 die in separate road accidents

Seven people died in separate road accidents in Dhading, Bardiya and Pyuthan districts on Wednesday. Four persons died when a truck skidded off the road and plunged into the Trishuli river at Jogimara VDC-2 in Dhading district along the Prithivi Highway.
Police identified three of the deceased as Phul Mahammad, Anish Mahammad and Anawar Mahammad. The identity of the fourth victim could not be ascertained as of the evening, police said.
Two persons were seriously injured in the accident. They were rushed to Kathmandu for treatment, police said. The truck (Ga 1 Kha 3986) was heading to Chitwan from Kathmandu.
In Bardiya, two persons were killed when a Kathmandu-bound passenger bus turned over near Rambhapur on Wednesday morning.
The deceased victims were identified as Prakash Bhat and Narahari Kandel. At least 16 people were injured in the incident. According to police, among the injured victims, nine suffered serious injures. They were taken to Kohalpur-based Teaching Hospital in Banke district for treatment, police said.
In another incident, one person was killed in a tractor accident at Khung VDC-6 in Pyuthan district on Wednesday noon. Police identified the victim as Rajendra Puri.
