Norwegian aid for SSRP

The Norwegian government, one of the key donors for School Sector Reform Programme (SSRP), has decided to provide some Rs 177 billion (127 million Kroner) to the project for two years. An agreement to this effect was signed by Finance Ministry Joint-secretary Madhu Kumar Marasani and Norwegian Ambassador to Nepal Kjell Tormod Pettersen at a programme in Singha Durbar on Friday. The aid is meant for 2014-16.

Issuing a press statement on Friday, the Norwegian Embassy in Kathmandu said the grant is the continuation of Norwegian support for quality improvement and inclusion in public schools.
