TBI Holdings acquires Dhulikhel resort

TBI Holdings, a group promoted by Non-Resident Nepalis, has taken over the Dhulikhel Mountain Resort in Kavrepalanchok.
The resort, established in 1981 with ethnic theme reflecting Nepali traditional village architecture, started operation under the management of BB Hotels from Friday. The resort is located 33km from Kathmandu.
Industry Minister Mahesh Basnet and TBI Holdings Chairman Bhawan Bhatta inaugurated the new logo of the resort. The resort is spread over 20 acres and provides breathtaking panoramic view of the Himalayas. “We have planned to upgrade the resort facilities to become a number one resort in the country,” the company said in a statement.
TBI has several businesses in Japan and Nepal namely -- BB Holidays, BB Airways, TBI Publications and United Breweries. It owns over 100 restaurants in Japan. It has also procured shares worth Rs 1 billion of Nepal Purbadhar Bikash Company Limited, the promoter of Kathmandu-Kulekhani-Hetauda Tunnel Highway.
