On December 21, Spanish photojournalist Omar Havana will be doing a presentation on his photographs taken in Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Nepal. He will be sharing stories behind his photographs at the hall of The Bakery Café, Sundhara, starting 5 pm. The programme is organised by Photo Circle.
Currently based in Nepal, Havana had started his career about a decade ago during a trip to Cuba, when Hurricane Wilma had hit the Cuban capital, La Habana. Since then, he has been doing reportage photography around the world, and most recently in Southeast Asia. He is also represented by Getty Images.
His works have been published in international media, including The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Al Jazeera, Washington Post, BBC, ABC News Australia, Financial Times, The New York Times, The CNN and CBS, among others.
The presentation will be about an hour-and-a-half long.
