The Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) has started a ‘One paisa campaign’ for the establishment of an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) facility at the Seti Zonal Hospital. KCCI said that it started the campaign as many accident victims including critically ill and inured have had to lose their lives while on their way to other health facilities due to the absence of ICU at the hospital.

“We had started the campaign in order to solve the problem of the hospital having to refer accident victims to other hospitals due to the lack ICU facility,” said treasurer Shankar Bogati of KCCI,  He also expressed confidence that civil service officers, businessmen, industrialists, organisations and politicians would all generously contribute to the cause.

He said that KCCI managed to collect Rs 500,000 for the cause from the recently held far-west fair. Likewise, it has also collected Rs 1 million from various donors.
