Nepal register second win

KATHMANDU: Nepal registered their second consecutive win in the Asian Junior Tennis Team Cup in Doha on Saturday. The team of Samrakshyak Bhusan Bajracharya, Samyak Bhusan Bajracharya, Renjan Lama and Pranab Khanal downed Saudi Arabia 2-1 to close in on semi-finals. Nepal, had lost 3-0 against India before beating Qatar 2-1 on Friday. (PR)

 

Min leapfrogs Mohan on top

KATHMANDU: Min Gauc-han climbed atop the leaderboard of the fourth Archery Tournament with five points on Saturday. Overnight leader Mohan Gauchan failed to earn any point and lie second on four points. Arjun Hirachan, Tilak Pun, Norbu Gurung and Mukhiya Gurung are joint third with three points each. (PR)

 

Pashupati rout Liverpool 10-1

KATHMANDU: Dipesh Raut scored four and Suraj Nepali three goals as Pashupati hammered Liverpool College 10-1 in the TIA Cup College Football Tournament on Saturday. In the other matches, a solitary goal from Karun Raj Dhakal helped Ace down Columbus 1-0 and TIA ‘B’ overcame Gitanjali College 8-3. David Thapa scored a hat-trick for Gitanjali. (PR)

 

Thapa bags Mr fitness title

KATHMANDU: Ravi Jung Thapa won the first Mr Fitness First Inter Bodybuilding title on Saturday. Hari Raut came second and Pratisthit Lal Shrestha finished third. Thapa walked away with a purse of RS 10,000 while runner-up Raut and Shrestha received Rs 5,000 and 3,000 each. (PR)
