Chand: Revolution against capitalism is inevitable
Jan 7, 2015-
The national convention of the Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist kicked off at Tulsipur in Dang on Wednesday.
Speaking at the inaugural function, Chand emphasised the need of launching “unified revolution” in the country. “There will be a unified revolution in the country with the participation of the masses,” he said.
The revolution will be against capitalism and its compradors, he said, adding that his party was ready to wage a war if need be. He said that a new revolution was inevitable as the leaders like Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Baburam Bhattarai, Mohan Baidya and Ram Bahadur Thapa betrayed the Maoist revolution.
According to Chand, there should be a fair power sharing to maintain peace and stability in the country. He calmed that since the Maoist revolution succeeded in winning 80 percent of the land in the country, the Maoists should get 80 percent share in the government.
The convention will conclude on Saturday, electing a new party leadership. Chand is scheduled to present his political document on Thursday. Around 400 representatives from various parts of the country are attending the convention.
