Six injured in Rajbiraj clash

Six people were injured in a clash between cadres of opposition parties’ alliance and police on Friday.
The clash ensued when a group of unidentified people from behind the mass of protesters, headed towards Gajendra Chowk after a corner meet at Janaandolan Chowk, hurled stones at police. The situation became tense after Shailendra Prasad Sah, central member of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Nepal (MJF-N), was injured as police resorted to baton-charging. Police also fired 10 rounds of tear gas to bring the situation under control. Other injured include Kishor Kumar Yadav, central chairperson of the student wing of the Sadbhawana party, Shree Prasad Bhagat and Kedar Dev of MJF-N and Bindeshwor Yadav of Rashtriya Madhesh Samajwadi Party.
The condition of Kishor Kumar is said to be serious. The injured are being treated at Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital.
