Feb 28, 2015-

Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) last week gained 7.8 points to close at 979.27 points. The market, which opened at 971.47 points on Sunday, rose 2.48 points on Monday, before losing points for the following two days —3.18 points and 0.15 points respectively. The index, however, inched up 8.65 points on Thursday.

Pramod Sapkota, managing director of Sani Securities, attributed the growth to banks’ move to provide loans against the paperless shares. “Besides, political parties’ efforts for a consensus contributed to the rise in the index,” he said.
