Two Sadbhawana parties unite

KATHMANDU: Sanghiya Sadbhawana led by Anil Jha and Sarita Giri headed Nepal Sadbhawana Party have declared unification on Monday. The new party is named Nepal Sadbhawana Party.

Explaining the need for unification, Jha, the head of the unified party,  said it was an attempt to come up with a credible party that advocates for the marginalised and lobbies for federalism through Constituent Assembly.

The new party will have palm as their party symbol which is currently with

Giri’s party. The newly-formed party has already informed the Election Commission

of the merger.

“We will also inform the CA once we get the required documents from the Election Commission,” Jha said. Asked about the new party’s structure, Jha said the new central committee will have 61 members. Currently, the combined CC has 68 members. (PR)
