Beauties learn the finer points of fine dining
Mar 21, 2015-
The Miss Nepal 2015 contestants were led through an ‘ettiquette and protocol’ training session at Hotel de L’ Annapurna, Kathmandu, on March 21. The training programme, according to the organisers of the Miss Nepal contest—The Hidden Treasure—will help the contestants carry themselves with dignity during social occasions and public events. The coaching was provided by the Etiquette Supreme organisation.
During the session, the contestants were given a thorough briefing on dining etiquette. The event started with a brief introduction of the contestants and then they were taught the nuances of table manners, how to use the right cutlery how to speak politely to the waiters and other such tips. All the contestants were served a multi-course lunch that included appetisers, entrees, desserts and red wine.
“We want our contestants to always present themselves in the best light possible,” said Preeti Situala, one of the board members of The Hidden Treasure and a former Miss Nepal herself. “Many of them will have to carry themselves with dignity and elegance when they represent Nepal in the international arena. And fine-dining manners are an integral part of how you carry yourself.”
Later in the evening, after the etiquette training came to a close, the contestants went over to Swasti Laser and Beauty Clinic, Naxal, to inaugurate its opening.
