‘Dahal must mend his way to keep oppn alliance intact’

- POST REPORT, Kathmandu

Apr 15, 2015-

Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Nepal (MJF-N) Chairman Upendra Yadav has said that the opposition alliance will remain united only if UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal repents for his mistake.

Yadav, who has accused Dahal of committing a mistake by aborting the three-day general strike, on Wednesday said: “The opposition front will stay united if Prachanda (Dahal) stands in favour of the rights of people.”

Dahal’s response to the matter, Yadav said, would determine the future of the 30-party opposition alliance. “He must choose between dialogue and protest.” The MJF-N chairman claimed that the Maoist chairman committed a grave mistake by withdrawing the protest announced for April 7.

Yadav went on claim that Dahal was trying to stand on the two boats of power and alliance at the same time.
