CNI gives continuity to relief distribution work

The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) in cooperation with MaHa Sanchar (a foundation run by renowned comedy duo Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansa Acharya) has been continuing with the collection and distribution of relief materials to the earthquake victims. 

CNI, with the help of its member organisations and active collaboration of MaHa Sanchar, has established a Citizen Relief Trust that has been distributing relief packages to various earthquake affected districts since Monday. 

The CNI handed over the relief packages meant for quake victims through Hari Bansa Acharya, Madan Krishna Shrestha and Bishnu Agrawal to the Executive Chief of the Kasikhanda Besi municipality of Kavre district on May 2. 

On May 3,  the CNI handed over relief packages to the Chief District Officer of Dhading for distribution to the earthquake victims.

The CNI has so far distributed relief and rescue items worth Rs five million to the earthquake victims and pledges to continue it in the coming days as well.The relief items collected by the CNI have been distributed in various quake affected districts across the country and as per the suggestion of the Central Relief and Supplies Management Committee, CNI said.The CNI has urged all the entrepreneurs to immediately resume their businesses and help in the normal supply of the essential goods meant for daily use.
