Nepali communities help out

Canada: The Canadian Red Cross, GlobalMedic, World Vision Canada, Medecins Sans Frontieres, ShelterBox Canada and UNICEF Canada , CARE Canada, Oxfam Canada, Oxfam-Quebec, Plan Canada and Save the Children Canada have all stepped up relief work for the victims coordinating with the Nepalese community in Canada to effectively help the victims in Nepal.
USA:The Jackson Heights neighbourhood in Queens, New York, boasts of a 10,000-strong Nepalese community. A thousand people, mostly from the Nepalese community, attended a vigil in Queens on Sunday where over $20,000 was raised in aid for victims of the earthquake. At the Sherpa temple, worshippers are being asked to donate half of their weekly salary.
UK:UK is home to a lot of Nepali individuals. People from various businesses have been collecting clothes, food, water and fund to send back to Nepal. Ojesh Singh, a young man from the Nepalese community in London, has been collecting relief materials such as tents, funds and clothes through colleagues and friends.
Austrailia:Guthi Australia is a community-based, non-profit and volunteer-driven organisation in Australia. The organisation is raising funds for the quake victims in Nepal. It has primarily been focusing on raising funds for the cremation of dead bodies, clean up and garbage collection around make-shift shelter in association with “Clean Up Nepal”, and to liaise with the representatives from hospitals directly to provide necessary medical supplies.
