Pakistani aid will continue, says Envoy

Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Arshed Suad Khosa has said Pak assistance Nepal will continue as Pakistanis feel it is obligatory on their part as friends and neighbours to fulfil the responsibilities in these difficult and painful times in Nepal.
Talking to journalists about his country’s ongoing efforts in Nepal following the April 25 earthquake, the envoy said that having experienced the devastation caused by the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan, they know what it means to those in sorrow and grief to find friends and assistance during disaster.
He also informed that as of Sunday, the Pakistani side has provided 10,000 kilograms of medicine, 1,556 tents and shelters, 1,000 blankets, 2,000 kilograms of rice and lentils, 3,540 packets of ready-to-eat meal and 2,840 kilograms of dry food.
