Govt offices in Dolakha resume services

- POST REPORT, Dolakha

May 20, 2015-

The government offices in Dolakha have resumed their services a week after the May 12 aftershock of the April 25 Great Earthquake flattened hundreds of houses and government buildings.

Many government agencies in the district have resumed their operation by setting up temporary offices under tents, said Chief District Officer Prem Lal Lamichhane, who also heads the District Disaster Management Committee.

Lamichhane said they were planning to relocate many government offices inside the compound of the District Development Committee. Out of 40 government office buildings in Dolakha, only two are standing upright.
