3 more bodies recovered from Langtang area

Rescuers have recovered three more bodies from Langtang area in Rasuwa district. A joint team of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and villagers recovered the three bodies on Saturday.
With this, the death toll from Langtang avalanche has reached 192. The local administration said that they are continuing with the search for scores of other villagers and tourists presumed to be missing in the region.
A large number of villagers and foreigners went missing after a deadly avalanche set off by the devastating earthquake on April 25 swept away an entire village in Langtang valley, a major tourist destination in the country.
32 still missing in eastern districts after quake
The whereabouts and condition of 32 people, who went missing or were out of contact after the Great Earthquake on April 25 from various eastern districts, is still unknown. Superintendent of Police Shekhar Koirala at the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar said that 32 people from various district in the region are still missing.
Some 26 people from Okhaldhunga alone remain missing after the quake. Majority of them had gone to Langtang area of Rasuwa as porters, said police.
