NRCS plans to give Rs 600m to quake-hit

Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) plans to distribute Rs 600 million as relief cash to the earthquake-affected families. The humanitarian agency has already distributed Rs 360 million to the earthquake-affected families. Dibya Raj Poudel, head of the NRCS Humanitarian Values and Communication Department, said that the NRCS has so far distributed Rs 15,000 each to 24,000 families in Sindhuli, Gorkha, Kavre, Lalitpur and Mak-wanpur districts. By the end of July, the organisation plans to complete its cash relief distribution programme in the remaining 16 districts that were devastated by the April 25 earthquake.
