Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist cadres severely thrashed Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) Director General Bharat Raj Subedi while the latter was on his way to office. The party has already claimed responsibility for the attack.
CPN Maoist spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma said that members of party’s sister organisation National Youth Volunteers (NYV) was involved in the operation under the party’s direction.

He was also faking his age to extend his tenure in government service. There is also question on his nationality as he is said to have obtained US permanent resident card,” said Bishwokarma.
