The event was held at the premises of Nepal Academy Hall, Kamalpokhari.
The programme saw the presence of popular singers, artists, musicians who collectively commemorated the dead by observing a minute-long moment of silence.
The participants took a walk from the Basantapur Durbar Square to the Nepal Academy Hall.
Among the participants were dignitaries like Ganga Prasad Uprety, chancellor of Nepal Pragya Pratisthan; Ragini Upadhyay, chancellor of Nepal Academy of fine arts; lyricist Shree Purush Dhakal, and artists from Nepal and abroad.
During the programme, chancellor of Nepal Academy of Music and Drama Shambhujit Baskota informed the audience about the effort of the Academy to raise quake-related awareness among the public.
The Academy had conducted various cultural programmes around the country in the aftermath of quakes.
