Binod Choudhari, chairman of Choudhary Group, handed over the transitional homes to the survivors amid a programme on Saturday.
According to Chaudhary Foundation, it is speeding up the building of 10,000 transitional shelters. The foundation had announced to build 1,000 shelters with its own money and another 9,000 shelters by cooperating with the donors after the April 25 earthquake. The Foundation has coordinated with Surat Manav Sewa Sangha and Maheshwori Samaj to build the houses.
Speaking at a handover ceremony, Chaudhary said: “We have already built 700 transitional houses and we look forward to hand over 1,000 homes before Dashain,” said Chaudhary.
Previously, Chaudhary Foundation handed over 129 transitional shelters to earthquake survivors in Dolalghat of Kavre district on August 7.
