RAE: supplies to come from calm border
Nov 9, 2015-
Nepali Congress acting President Ram Chandra Poudel drew the attention of Indian Ambassador Ranjit Rae towards humanitarian crisis faced by Nepal due to the obstruction in supply of Nepal-bound goods at Nepal-India borders.
Ambassador Rae visited Poudel at his residence in Bohoratar, Kathmandu, on Sunday, where the latter urged him to lift the restrictions on Nepal-bound vehicles, carrying essential supplies.
Poudel’s aide Chiranjivi Adhikari said the NC leader told the Indian ambassador that the issue pertaining to Tarai-Madhes is Nepal’s internal matter which the country was capable of resolving on its own.
Ambassador Rae assured Poudel that Indian government was preparing to release the Nepal-bound goods without any hindrance from the border points that are not affected by the ongoing protest, said Adhikari.
