Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli spent Rs 1.26 million on food and entertainment in the last one month, according to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. The office states in its website that the payment was received by Anmol Catering Services Pvt Ltd for providing tea and food for the parties and tea receptions that were organised at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on various dates in the Nepali month of Kartik. The other expenses of Prime Minister Oli mentioned in the website are an iPad worth Rs 117,407 bought from Global Link Technologies and Rs 128,255 on newspapers and magazines. The details about the prime minister’s expenditures come at a time when the people in the country are reeling under acute shortage of fuel and daily essentials.
