Nov 30, 2015-

Police revealed on Sunday that a man in his twenties from Righa in Hyanglu-7, Mugu, murdered his four children—two sons and two daughters—in cold blood.

It takes about two days to reach Righa from Gamgadhi, the district headquarters. According to the District Police Office (DPO), Nanda Bahadur Rokaya killed Suntali (9), Yuvaraj (6), Bipana (4) and Dip Bahadur (2). The bodies were found on Sunday buried in a field about 100 metres from their house. There were two spades lying on the site.

The children had gone missing since Wednesday. Nanda Bahadur has been detained at Area Police Office, Ratapani. Deputy Superinten-dent of Police Lok Bahadur GC said the suspect had admitted to his crime. The motive behind the killings is not immediately known. Investigating officers suspected that Nanda Bahadur could have murdered the children to marry another woman.

A police team was dispatched to bring the bodies to the District Hospital in Thini for postmortem.
