Saarc marks 30th anniv tomorrow

To mark the anniversary, the member states are celebrating the Saarc Charter Day.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, in his capacity as the current Saarc chair, has said that Nepal is committed towards the goals, objectives and principles of the Saarc.
Noting that Saarc has made several achievements by settings up of institutions, mechanism, developing norms and practices to promote cooperation among member states, Oli said: “It is now high time for Saarc to focus on effective implementation of our commitments and decisions to fulfil the ever-growing aspirations of the people of South Asia through action-oriented, practical and realistic approach. South Asia offers vast potential for regional cooperation which can transform development landscape of this region.”
