Cold hits life in eastern Tarai

- Post Report, Morang

Dec 12, 2015-

Increasing cold weather has severely affected the normal life in eastern Tarai districts.

With the plummeting mercury, the region is also experiencing heavy fog, reducing visibility in the morning.

Vehicular movement has been affected as a result of fog. Cold weather coupled with fog has also taken toll on students and farmers.

Rajiv Kumar Jha, chief at Regional Office of Meteorology Department in Dharan, said  absence of rainfall for a long period has increased the density of fog in the region. Many Tarai districts are not getting proper sunlight until late in the day, Jha said.
