House committee grills ministry officials

According to the committee chairperson Ranju Kumari Jha, they asked the officials about the status amending the Senior Citizen Act 2006 and the implementation of Sexual Harassment at Work Place Act and Anti Witchcraft and Punishment Acts, among others. In a meeting held at the committee’s office at Singha Durbar, the committee members also accused the ministry of not heeding its directives.
“We found that many of our important directives were not implemented by the Ministry and we asked them to start working on them immediately,” Jha said.
