Gurung to meet Sharma in final

Gurung beat Mala Rai of APF Club while Sharma defeated Lalita Maharjan of TAC in the semi-finals. Saraswoti Chaudhary of APF and Niru Gurung of TAC set the women’s 57-60kg division title clash.
Chaudhary saw off teammate Maya Chaudhary and Gurung eliminated Sulabh Magar of Jhapa in their
last four clashes. In the women’s 69-75kg division semi-finals, Pramila Pandey of APF dispatched Pabitra Gharti Magar of Rolpa and Sangita Sunar of APF ousted Anuradha Lama of NPC.
The winners in each of the three weight division will secure berths for the SAG.
The line-up for the finals in men’s events was also complete on Monday with eventual winners in seven weight divisions to secure tickets to India.
Table Tennis
All Nepal Lawn Tennis Association on Monday selected four male players to complete their selection for the South Asian Games.
Samrakchhyan Bhusan Bajracharya, Avishek Bastola, Sriram Magar and Kamal Bhandari finished in top four after the round robin league to secure berths for the regional event.
Four players in the women’s events were already confirmed with Ira Raut, Ganga Sharma, Bibhuti Karki and Bijisha Shrestha finishing in top four positions.
