Chaudhary Foundation hands over 50 more transitional homes

 Choudhary Foundation has handed over 50 transitional homes to the earthquake victims of Taklung VDC in Gorkha. The homes were built in association with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Choudhary Foundation Chairman Binod Choudhary and PwC India Chairman Deepak Kapoor were present at the handover ceremony. The foundation have so far handed over transitional homes at Bhimtar in Sindhupalchowk; Mahadevsthan in Kavre, Dolalghat; Machchhegaun of Kathmandu; Changunarayan of Bhaktapur; Burungcholi and Lokundol in Lalitpur. It had announced to build 1,000 shelters on its own and another 9,000 in cooperation with others.

Siddhartha, NCHL in inter-bank payment system pact

Siddhartha Bank and Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) have reached an agreement on inter-bank payment system. Siddhartha Bank’s Assistant CEO Sundar Prasad Kandel and NCHL CEO Nilesh Man Singh signed the agreement to this effect. The pact enables the bank to extend services like direct credit, direct debit, dividend payment, IPO refund, bill payment, premium payment, social security allowance, pension, salary and remittance among member banks and financial institutions.

AECC Global opens branch in Pokhara

 AECC Global has opened its branch in Chipledhunga, Pokhara. Actors Sunil Thapa, Nisha Adhikari and Wilson Bikram Rai jointly inaugurated the office. The institute will extend various services to students in the region on VISA counseling, documentation for overseas studies. It also offers IELTS, PTE, TOEFL and IBT preparation classes.

Tourism Dev Bank’s professonal loan

 Tourism Development Bank has launched TDBL Professional loan. Under the scheme, doctors, engineers, pilots, chartered accountants, bankers, professors, Nepal Rastra Bank staffers and civil servants can borrow upto Rs1 million on personal guarantee.
